Two Night INTENSIVE January 25, 26th 2017 (6:30- 9:30pm)
Learn how to command the stage and perform life stories from someone who has made a living at it for decades. For two consecutive nights in an energized, and supportive enviroinment Marga Gomez will offer constructive feedback to performers and tools to find the humor, raise the stakes and root performances physically and vocally. The class will include Q&A, group discussion and an overview on the basics of building your audience through effective promotion. This workshop is geared for theatrical performance. It's not a stand up comedy workshop.
The Marga Gomez Workshop is one of the only SF workshops with a screening process to ensure a supportive, diverse, harmonious and vigorous group experience. It’s also FUN. Apply by January 15, 2017 Applicants will be notified January 19th wither way.
TO APPLY as Performing Participant (10 spaces avail.) - You must have minimum 2 pages of solo script written or 6 pages maximum to apply. Also required a paragraph about your experience in performance or related field. First draft okay. Spelling errors not important as long as I can decipher it. But most important what you submit should be something that can be performed in the class. Outlines or idea fragments will not be accepted. (Fee $75 due upon acceptance)
TO APPLY as Observer (10 spaces avail.) Submit 25 to 50 words about what you hope to get out of the workshop. You will be able to watch the process but not perform. So no experience necessary. Because space is limited those with strongest interest in solo performance will be selected. (Fee due upon acceptance)

Marga Gomez is a GLAAD Award winning writer/performer of twelve solo shows which have been produced Off Broadway, nationally and internationally. She has been teaching solo performance for 5 years and working as a solo performer for 25 years.
